Looks Like The Indians Might Finally Have a Pitcher

Author: During tonight’s game against the Indianapolis Indians, Columbus Clippers’ RHP Hector Rondon knocked everybody’s socks off. This 21 year old, who was just brought up to the minor leagues, pitched a no-hit 6 inning game. This feat probably makes him the best pitcher in the ENTIRE Cleveland Indian orginization. Seriously folks, this is pretty amazing.
Throwing 95 MPH, Rondon was a suprise. Just brought up from Akron, he was up here for only a trial. Instead of the trial, he blew everybody away, pitching 90+ pitches, before leaving the game at the end of the 6th.
His stats for the day are equally impressive:
- 6.0 IP
- 0H, 0R, 0ER, 0HR, 0 ERA
- 2 walks
- 8 strike outs
Overall, I fully expect Rondon to come back to the Clippers often, and maybe even to bounce up at some point down the stretch.
