PostHeaderIcon Looks Like The Indians Might Finally Have a Pitcher

During tonight’s game against the Indianapolis Indians, Columbus Clippers’ RHP Hector Rondon knocked everybody’s socks off. This 21 year old, who was just brought up to the minor leagues, pitched a no-hit 6 inning game. This feat probably makes him the best pitcher in the ENTIRE Cleveland Indian orginization. Seriously folks, this is pretty amazing.

Throwing 95 MPH, Rondon was a suprise. Just brought up from Akron, he was up here for only a trial. Instead of the trial, he blew everybody away, pitching 90+ pitches, before leaving the game at the end of the 6th.

His stats for the day are equally impressive:

  • 6.0 IP
  • 0H, 0R, 0ER, 0HR, 0 ERA
  • 2 walks
  • 8 strike outs

Overall, I fully expect Rondon to come back to the Clippers often, and maybe even to bounce up at some point down the stretch.
