Toregas and Lewis called up:
Today, continuing their destruction of the Clippers, the Indians called up two more players. This brings their total from just this week to four players brought up.
After making several trades, the Tribe needed a new catcher and a new pitcher, so they brought up catcher Wyatt Toregas and pitcher Jensen Lewis.
Wyatt Toregas was picked 24th back in 2004 and has never made it up to the Bigs. He has, however, always been in the Indian’s organization. This season, he is batting .284 in 60 games. He also has 7 home runs and 29 RBIs.
Lewis, on the other hand, who has also been with the Tribe his whole career (3 seasons), has been bouncing up and down between the Bigs and the Minors. For the Clippers, he has pitched 12 games and didn’t allow a run for 18+ innings.
Good luck to the new Indians
