Welcome to Sailing the Ship, your home for Information, Recaps, and Notes about the Columbus Clippers, the AAA Farm teach for the Cleveland Indians.

Hello all. My name is Robert M. Barga. I am currently a student at The Ohio State University and am majoring in political science (American focus) and minoring in English. When I was younger, I used to play baseball religiously. I would pitch, play third, and play short, wherever I was needed. My Grandfather played (made it onto the Detroit Tigers, though his family commitments kept him from playing in The Bigs) and my father played as well. Both were part of high-school championship teams. They got me into the game, and I have loved it ever since.

Earlier this year, I was given the opportunity to start covering central Ohio sports for Blogcritics Magazine. Though I started by talking primarily about the Columbus Blue Jackets, my interest in baseball took me right to the Clippers. From the start of the season until now, I have been credentialed as press for the Clippers, and I will also be credentialed as press for CBJ.

It is my goal to provide you with information, news, stats, and game recaps about the Columbus Clippers, your hometown team. Go Clippers and Go Indians.
